We are an old-fashioned, soul-winning, separatist right-wing, independent Baptist Church.

We stand without apology for the inerrancy and inspiration of the Bible, which is preserved for the English speaking people in the King James Version.

We believe Heaven is a real, literal place where the redeemed will spend eternity with the Savior in mansions He is preparing for us.

We believe in a literal Hell with real fire where those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior will experience eternal torments.

We believe that the Bible teaches there is only one way to get to Heaven, and that is by faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that Christians ought to shun the world and look, live and talk like Christians.  We believe that men ought to look, dress and act masculine.  We believe women ought to look, dress and act feminine.

We believe and preach that abortion, homosexuality, pornography, and witchcraft are wicked abominations before the Lord.  We are against evolution, humanism, socialism, communism, multiculturalism, and ecumenicalism.

Pastor McSpadden is an old-fashioned, hell fire and damnation, Christ-honoring, sin-hating, Bible-believing fundamental Baptist preacher.

MINISTRIES

The Pleasantville Baptist Church conducts a weekly Sunday School for all children ages 4 through 17. The Sunday School is divided by grade level and is staffed by caring, godly people. Each week at 9:30 A.M. the students begin their Sunday School with singing and snacks, followed by a Bible lesson written by our Pastor, Dr. Bill McSpadden.

Adult Bible Study

Each Sunday at 9:30 A.M. the Pleasantville Baptist Church offers adult Bible classes where men and women get together for fellowship, prayer, Bible memorization and Bible study. We offer several adult classes.

Radio

Pleasantville Baptist Church operates KPBC-FM at 94.1 which covers the Pleasantville area, much of Knoxville, Melcher/Dallas, Beech, Swan and Sandyville. We also reach the entire world via the internet with our live internet streams on kpbcfm.com

Teen Program

More than 50 teens attend our teen Sunday school program where we have snacks, crazy time, singing, Bible Battles and a Bible lesson taught by qualified adults. The teen program is led by Pastor McSpadden and Assistant Pastor Don Buchner, and includes teen soul-winning, Bible studies and Youth activities. Some activities offered are teen camp in Tennessee, canoe trip on the Racoon River, Mall of America, sports nights at our local gym, hayrides, Iowa Cubs Baseball, miniature golf, go-carting, etc.

Bus Ministry

The bus ministry currently offers service to Indianola, Ackworth, Beech, Sandyville, Carlisle, Hartford and parts of Des Moines. For transportation from these areas call, - (515) 309-2830.

Pleasantville Baptist Academy

Pleasantville Baptist Academy offers kindergarten through 12th grades using the A.C.E. curriculum. Every Friday is hands on learning where the students learn by using their hands in building, science experiments, botany in the field, digging fossils, etc. We have an exciting sports program for the Jr. High and High schoolers featuring basketball, cheerleading and volleyball. Children's Churches

During the adult service on Sunday mornings we have children's churches available for children ages 4 through 6th grade. Parents may bring their children with them into the adult service and are encouraged to do so. The main purpose for the children's churches is to give the children who ride the buses to church a place to learn the Bible on their level and for children whose parents are serving the Lord in the nursery or children's church to enjoy their time with other children singing and learning the Bible.

Jail Ministry

Some of our men go to the county jail each week witnessing to and counseling with those in jail. More than 400 people have been led to saving faith in Jesus Christ through this ministry.

Nurseries

Pleasantville Baptist Church provides clean, well- staffes nurseries for children ages birth through 3 years old.

Adult Activities

The Pleasantville Baptist Church sponsers several adult activities each year to allow our adults times of fellowship and fun. We have a steak cookout with volleyball, basketball and just sitting around shooting the breeze; ladies shopping trips; Valentine Banquet; Iowa Cubs baseball, men's 4man best ball golf tournament, etc.
